What is a Content Management System?
A content management system (CMS) is a website developed in a way that enables non-technical client content authors to easily create, manage and publish website content.
Content (text, images, graphics, video, sound, documents, etc.) is stored by the CMS in a database or software appliaction which can be managed by content authors through a series of related applications.
Developers can build web page templates that extract this client created content from the database and transform it to HTML which is delivered to the web browser.
In the past client managed sites have proven to be very expensive to develop. However now this is no longer the case.
CMS, is really going to change the way web developers interact with their clients. Up to now, if a client wanted to change something on his / her web site, it has been a case of contacting us the developers and asking us to make the necessary changes. By using a CMS, the client is able to make minor changes to the site without having to know anything about HTML or FTP.
If required, will allow the client to alter pre determined Editable Regions only, thus safeguarding the integrity of the sites design.
4sure Online can design and develop the navigational shell or template that you can use to create and populate new or existing pages in your website. When you have to add a page to the site you simply select a template from a list of blank templates and add the content. When happy, you then publish that to the web. Its that easy.
